I’m Cristin, an American living in Belgium and the author of adventuresome historical fantasy novels for kids and teens.
Born in Japan, I moved twelve times before graduating high school, making me the proverbial new girl. Books were the friends I never had to say goodbye to, and poetry was my first love. When I finished school, I continued my rootless existence and spent the whole of my twenties traveling the world with a non-profit. I’ve visited over thirty countries, and I speak three languages.
A few years ago I put down roots in the Belgian Ardennes, where I live with my Flemish husband and our four daughters. If I’m not working on my latest book, you’ll probably find me off storming a castle (with my camera), wandering through tangled old forests, or having my French pronunciation corrected by small children.
